Pellet Stove

Detailed instructions for the operation of the Pellet Stove

Pellet Stove:

Our Pellet Stove will keep you warm and cozy if you choose to use it on cold days. It has an old-school charm and takes a bit of patience—this isn’t an instant-on fireplace, but once it’s going, it provides more heat than a gas or wood-burning fireplace and adds to a cozy and rustic atmosphere unlike any other.
Note: Please avoid buying your own pellets.  We provide pellets as an amenity and control what is burned in the stove for safety and longevity.   Should you need more pellets, please reach out to your host.
1. Starting the Stove
1. Check & Clean the Burn Pot:
• Make sure the ash tray is empty and the burn pot has no leftover pellets.
• Use the scraper to firmly tap the burn pot to knock off built-up ash, which clears build up on the igniter and inside the burn pot. Scrape all ashes again out of the burn pot.
2. Fill the Hopper: Open the lid and add wood pellets.
3. Set the Thermostat: Adjust to your desired temperature, but avoid setting it too high—the stove won’t ignite if it doesn’t sense a temperature lower than the current room temp.
4. Turn the Stove On: turn the knob from “off” to “room temp” and set whether you want a high room temp or lower room temp. If you’re not sure, set it in the middle and adjust from there. Avoid using the “constant burn” setting as it may ignite slower.
5. Make sure the switch is set to "Auto Igniter".
6. Set the feed limit to "3"
🔹 Note: It may take longer to ignite than expected, but once lit, it provides exceptional warmth and ambiance! If it doesn’t light right away, remove any excess pellets from the burn pot (they can be added again to the hopper) set the temperature number lower, and wait a few more minutes. A good guideline is to set it 5 degrees lower than the current house temp.
2. Adjusting Heat & Fan
• Adjust the “room temp” or “feed limit” for more or less heat.
• The fan adjusts automatically
• Keep the doors and windows of the house closed for maximum efficiency.
3. Adding Pellets
• If heat output drops, refill the hopper with wood pellets.
• Do not overfill or spill pellets inside the stove.
• Let the hopper cool slightly before adding more.
4. Turning Off the Stove
1. Never unplug the Pellet Stove
2. Lower the thermostat to the lowest setting.
3. turn the knob to “Off” on the control panel.
4. The fan will continue running until the stove cools.
5. Before Checkout
Before you leave, please:
✅ Ensure the stove is turned off
✅ Tap the burn pot and scrape out any leftover pellets from the burn pot.
✅ Empty the ash tray into the garbage.
6. Troubleshooting
Stove won’t start? Make sure all the operation lights are on. Remove any pellets accumulated in the burn pot. Set the temperature a little lower. Wait a few more minutes for it to ignite.
If you can’t get it to auto ignite, contact your host for instructions about manually igniting.
